The Feast of Our Lady of Loretto, the patroness of our parish, was celebrated with a solemn mass by Bishop Andrzej Zglejszewski, auxilary bishop of the diocese of rockville center on Saturday, December 10, 2023. The organization of the feast was lead by the members of the sodality of Our Lady of Loretto parish group. We had students from Sacred Heart Academy, The De La Salle School, and Kellenberg Memorial High School participate in the mass. Also, in attendance were the teens from Idente Youth (our parish youth group), and the children from the school of altar servers. Many other parishioners attended the mass as well. At the mass, we had the peace light from Bethlehem that was brought in by Sacred Heart Academy, then was available families to take home. The Peace Light is a continuous flame originating in the grotto of Jesus’ birth in Bethlehem. It is shared person to person throughout the world with a message of peace and friendship.
